Scientific interests:
Field of scientific research is the investigation of electronic properties of atoms, molecules and the solid state. Results of this research are gathered in the monograph "Scaling problem in quantum theory of atoms and molecules" (1985), written together with T.K.Rebane. The monograph presents new original methods for calculating full energies, nuclear diamagnetic shielding constants and other important properties of various isoelectronic systems. These methods are based on combination of scaling procedure with the virial theorem, the Hellmann-Feynman theorem and the variational principle of quantum mechanics. No information about wave functions is required.
